Valentine's Themed Dog Photos 2016- Las Vegas Pet Photography

Every so often I will offer pop-up portrait events. The event is usually tied in with a fundraiser for pet rescues. On February 6th, 2016 I partnered with my friends Pam and Sam of Rockin 4 Rescues. We went to Lulus Doggy Salon and Spaw and setup a mobile Bark Gallery Photography Studio. The theme was Valentine's Day!

Rockin 4 Rescues always helps various rescues across the United States. This event was to benefit a pig named Wilbur with One Family Animal Sanctuary. Wilbur has kidney stones and the sanctuary has a very large veterinarian bill of over $2400. This is quite the burden for a non profit.

This was my first time with Valentine's day themed pet photos. I grabbed a pink backdrop and a few props and the studio was all set for some cute dog photos. This event was only a few hours on a Saturday to help raise some funds for Wilbur.  The event raised $175 from Bark Gallery and $75 in donations to Rockin 4 Rescues. After the event was over Rockin 4 Rescues matched the donations, and donated $500 to help Wilbur of ONE Family Animal Sanctuary! This was wonderful news for the ONE Family Animal Sanctuary. If you are reading this and would like to pop over and donate either 501c3 would love the donations.

Pop-Up Portrait events are fun as I get to meet several new dogs. The challenge of photographing pets in a distracting environment makes the events quite fun for me. I have done several events over the years at various venues and I love helping rescues.

I will often have a person come to the event and have doubts that their dog will photograph well. I always whisper to the dog, "Okay help me look good". The dog usually responds by perking their ears up and a big smile. I quickly click the camera and smile knowing that the team effort paid off.

This event was a lot of fun and I love being a part of the "Pam and Sam Show" for the day. If you are reading this and wonder when the next Pop-Up Portrait event will be, follow Bark Gallery on social media. (Facebook - Instagram ) I post flyers and event invites on those pages.
