Flirt was a blast to photograph. She is a Belgian Malinois. This is a working dog breed. The military uses them for protection. The breed is one that takes an experienced dog handler. Malinois are know for having high energy, drive, and athletic abilities.  

Flirt was a few weeks old and was learning some basic commands and a few tricks at this point. She was very well behaved at the session and was in love with her toy. 

What I love about photographing puppies is often the amazement to new things. She would flip her head and check new areas out with her nose. Puppies often have the puppy wobble to them which is also amusing to watch. Flirt was very concerned about her toy and would chase it and save it from the water. What a wonderful dog! 

This session was in San Diego, California. I often get requests about traveling to other cities for sessions. This is some of the fun images that I photographed on the beach that day.
