Black and White or Color? That's the great debate. In the early days of photography there was only black and white film, then in the 1970's color took over. All of my photography is shot in full color which is what I prefer. I love seeing the exact colors of the fur and landscape. The color jumps off the page for me. It's exactly what I captured with my camera. Life is in color so why shouldn't my photography. I haven't posted a single black and white photograph in months on my social media. I was working on some photographs yesterday and I clicked Black and White. Whoops. I looked at the image and I immediately thought well this one looks pretty good in black and white. Maybe I should convert a few more to black and white and I started wondering about black and white versus color. 

My personal feeling is that black and white photography is a bit cliche today. I personally pass over black and white landscape images all the time. I prefer to see the bright beautiful colors that nature provides. I understand from a decorative stance that black and white goes with any color scheme or style of house. Black and White Pet Photography is something that I often get asked to do for clients on final images. It's a style that goes with their current decor and I gladly convert to black and white.  

I however feel that the splash of color in the house brings a nice energy into the home. This is something that for me makes the photograph seem "real". While Black and white is still very real, it's not how we see the world. The majority of us see the world in bright vibrant colors. Color is amazing I try to always have a splash of vibrant color in each of my pet photos. This makes the image "pop," in my opinion, and draws a lot of attention.

I went back to several images that I have taken and I will post both a black and white and a color version. Tell me what you think looks the best.
