Aitana- Dutch Shepherd Puppy Session.

Aitana is a puppy that I have done several photo sessions with and spent quite a bit of time photographing. I typically go with the "adopt don't shop" method of acquiring a new family member, however in some special situations and dog breeds it's something that just isn't feasible. Aitana was bred in Holland. She is training to be a working dog for the purposes of search and rescue, protection, and competitive dock diving, as well as a family companion.

First Session in Las Vegas.

Aitana's first session with Bark Gallery was a night session on the Las Vegas Strip. This was a few days after she had arrived in Las Vegas. It was a fun session and as you can see from the photos Aitana exudes the confidence of a working dog breed.

Her next session was done in a studio to you setting. The energy level of this puppy is quite wild. Dutch shepherds are typically used for working dogs, and great for numerous sports and protection work. This session was more about the fun side and she shined with some of the photos in the bathtub, and on the bed. She was showing more of her puppy energy at this session. The dog obedience had been started at this point and she was able to show basic commands.

One of the exciting things about photographing dogs is that they are sometimes unpredictable.  Aitana would often sit for a few moments, then would go a little crazy. It was quite amusing for everyone involved.

Always ready for action.

Dog Hike, Red Rock- Las Vegas, Nevada

The first time we did an outdoor session, my dog Bear happened to come along. Being a Labrador, he found a small patch of water then Aitana decided it looked fun and did some interesting flipping around in the very small puddle.

Notice the small puddle.....

Bear had a blast with his dog friend Aitana!

Aitana training for Dock Diving. You will notice her wonderful form.

Iphone Selfie with Aitana

Aitana's last puppy session was when she was just around 7 months old. It will be fun to see how she grows up, and the skills she learns. Puppy sessions are a great way to capture the early life of your dog.
